Social Media and Community Manager (part-time to full time)

- Hours: Part-time, 20–30 hours/week
- Rate: $25/hour, depending on experience
About the Role
We’re looking for a creative and community-minded Social Media & Community Manager to join our small, collaborative team at Matchy Matchy Sewing Club. This part-time role is perfect for someone who loves sewing, has a sharp visual eye, and knows how to create content that feels beautiful, engaging, and truly connected to the maker community.
You’ll be working closely with our creative team to plan, style, and produce content for Instagram and TikTok — think reels, tutorials, behind-the-scenes peeks, and community features. You’ll also help us engage with our sewing community in a way that feels friendly, thoughtful, and real.
This is a hybrid role: we’ll work together in-person at our studio in Los Angeles for filming days and photoshoots, and the rest of your hours can be remote.
What You'll Do
- Plan and post regular content on Instagram (feed + stories)
- Launch and grow our TikTok presence with platform-savvy content
- Style, film, and edit short-form videos (reels, tutorials, behind-the-scenes)
- Engage with our community through DMs, comments, and story replies
- Track performance and recommend content improvements
- Stay up to date with sewing community trends and content best practices
What We're Looking For
- A love of sewing (bonus if you’re familiar with indie patterns + fabrics!)
- A strong visual style and creative point of view
- Confidence with short-form video content creation and editing
- Experience with social media strategy and community engagement
- A friendly, collaborative spirit — we love working as a team
- Bonus: Comfortable being on camera or speaking in videos

Fulfillment and Studio Assistant (part-time)
Details
- Location: West Covina, CA
- Schedule: 10–20 hours/week (flexible)
- Pay: $21/hour

About the Role
Matchy Matchy Sewing Club is looking for a kind, dependable, and detail-loving person to join our small (and very creative!) team as a Fulfillment & Studio Assistant. This is an in-person role based at our sunny studio in West Covina, where we pack orders, prep fabric, and bring sewing joy to our customers around the world.
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with their hands, loves fabric, and finds satisfaction in an organized and well-run space. You’ll play a key part in keeping our studio running smoothly and helping our customers receive their orders with care and love.
What You'll Do
- Cut, fold, and prep fabric for customer orders
- Pack and ship online orders with accuracy and care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy studio space
- Restock supplies and help manage inventory
- Support small studio tasks as needed (restocking, labeling, organizing)
You're a Great Fit If You:
- Have a love for fabric, sewing, and creative small businesses
- Are detail-oriented, reliable, and take pride in doing things well
- Enjoy hands-on work and keeping things neat and organized
- Are able to lift and move bolts of fabric (up to ~30 lbs) and stand for periods of time
- Are based in or near West Covina, CA, and available to work in-person
