Located in Old Town Monrovia, a historic town nestled in the San Gabriel Valley foothills, our shop is about 20 miles northeast of Los Angeles. We showcase a curated collection of garment fabrics as well as specialty quilting fabric, sewing patterns, notions and lifestyle gifts.

We wouldn't be opening these doors without all of the people who have supported Matchy over the years.
And we don't want this to simply be a place where you come in, buy some fabric and leave.
We hope it becomes a place you feel happy walking into. A place where you can stay awhile. Where you can learn to sew for the very first time.
Where you can come by yourself and leave knowing someone new.
Where experienced sewists and complete beginners sit around the same table.
Where you can ask questions, make mistakes, learn something, laugh, and make really cool things.
A place where everyone feels welcome.
Sewing has brought so much joy and so many wonderful people into our lives, and we want to create a little physical place where more of that can happen.

Our online and in shop inventory will have some overlap, but it will not always be exactly the same. Some fabrics available online may not be in the shop.
In addition to our core collection of linens and cottons, the shop will also feature specialty quilting cottons, sewing notions, gifts and fun items from some of our favorite small makers.
Yes! You can choose the pick up in shop option at checkout. The lead time for fabric cuts is approximately 3-5 business days. You will receive an email with more information when you order is ready to be picked up!
We will begin offering workshops in early 2027! If you have any ideas for the types of workshops you would like to see or suggestions for instructors please send us an email to hello@matchymatchysewingclub.com
We hope you love everything you take home from Matchy Matchy! Unused and unopened notions, tools, books, and other eligible merchandise may be returned within 30 days of purchase with proof of purchase.
Because fabric is cut just for you, all cut yardage is final sale. Sewing patterns, sale items, clearance items, and digital products are also final sale.
If you discover a flaw or problem with something you purchased from us, please get in touch or stop by the shop—we’re always happy to help make it right.
Returned items must be unused and in their original condition and packaging. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment.
