The Ruffle Brunch Set is a fresh and playful top and bottom duo that can be worn as a full outfit or fun separates. Designed with comfort in mind, the top features a wide scooped neckline, princess seams, and ruffles at the hems. The lightly puffed sleeves are finished with elastic and hit above the elbow. The top is slightly cropped and secured with simple ties up the front. The bottoms can be sewn as cropped pants or shorts and have a simple elastic waist, inseam pockets and matching ruffles at the hem. We love this set for pajamas, lounge-wear or elevated with accessories for a fun outfit.

Chelsea (short hair) is 5'5" and Morgan is 5'9". Both are wearing a size small. Chelsea's pants were sewn with no modifications. Morgan's pants are lengthened by 3".

As soon as this pattern was released i jumped on it! I just had to make it asap!! I started with the pants which were fairly quick and then onto the top which seemed to take me forever!! But i enjoyed it! The end result was sooooo cute!!!! I cant wait to make another set! Love the fit, the pants are super comfy and i love that you can wear them as a set or individualy! Love Matchy Matchy patterns as a beginner i find them very easy to follow with good instructions! This will be on high rotation!!
The perfect matching set for spring and summer! I'm all for matching sets so when this pattern was released, it jumped all the way to the top of my sewing list. I am an intermediate sewist, and loved how clear and consise the pattern instructions were - no confusion! I sized in between an XS and S and went with XS, which fits perfectly. I'm already planning to sew a second set with the shorts!
I'm obsessed with this pattern. It is super easy to follow and turned out so cute. As a beginner sewist I'm always after patterns that will teach me new skills and I definitely got to flex a few new tricks here. Definitely going to be living in this all summer.
I've only made the shorts so far, but I really enjoyed using this pattern. Everything is broken down into easy to follow steps and the end result is a lovely pair if shorts which im looking forward to wearing. There was one instruction that puzzled me but I emailed Matchy Matchy and got a swift response explaining it (and yes it was my own incompetence and not the pattern which was the problem!)
